Best trained subsurface staff out there?
SAIR Home » Why become a member?
There are many benefits in becoming a subscriber to the SAIR project. Your subsurface teams inevitably work with a mixed bag of tools - the traditional vendor helpdesk is by definition restricted to providing workflows for their tools and may have only sketchy or old information about interconnectivity issues.
SAIR supports cycle time reduction by creating certified workflows that users have little time to work out themselves. We will be augmenting and supporting the service provided by vendor’s and an onsite helpdesk. Invariably the connections between tools is not fully tested by any vendor and is especially true as the new releases come out (eg Petrel 2011 and PowerExplorer). SAIR fills the gap, providing a more complete support when two tools won’t talk to each other. The support team’s reference to SAIR will reduce recurring calls with long resolution times.
We will be testing all the dataflows that your company uses. We will also link and incorporate any previously designed workflows. As SAIR develops the user group meetings will be further opportunities to exchange best practice.
In a nutshell, here are the benefits:
SAIR never looks at functionality and does not judge application fit for purpose. We restrict ourselves to providing workflow and workarounds to improve the connectivity and allow others to judge the functionality.
